Apple was from the first Edenvillage litter. She was
my pick of the litter and had the most gentle nature. She is as beautiful inside as she is outside. I always wanted one of
my pups to go to a farm and when Helen contacted me I could not deny this wonderful dog a chance to work. She has a laid back
character but Helen says she trained so easily to the sheep. She opens her door and simply tells Apple "Go get the
sheep" and she will run off up to the field, round them up and bring them calmly home, all by herself. I miss her
but I know she has a wonderful life in the Scottish Borders.
Here is what Helen says about her:
"Apple
is doing well, I have no problems with her, she does what she is asked, gets on well with my grandchildren, and with my elderly
cat, who does not like dogs they roll about the carpet together, Apple is also good with my sheep. One thing I have
discovered about Apple is that she would be an excellent hunting dog, she chased a pheasant who went up a tree, she went up
after it and brought it down to me in her mouth, fortunately it was not harmed and I got her to drop it and it ran off. She
is always alert when someone comes to the door, gets on well with other dogs. Just a complete joy to have as part of the family.
We are so lucky."
